They're... one of the three races. They have no concern for the lives of anyone else, only their own. A few years ago, they destroyed much of my city and killed so many people just to get to one person.
[ her voice is strangely detached as she explains. ]

[ something tugs at the back of her mind as she says that, making her wince, but it's gone just as quickly as it came. ] Babo Kim did say that Haruka may have been ill. If Nikki is sick and passed it on, we should try to see if there's something we can do for her... or at least to prevent it from spreading further.
[He listens to her. He doesn't know what this sura is. There's angels, humans, and demons. Whatever she's talking about, he doesn't know - but he listens anyways, his mouth set in a frown.]
So you think that she was like...possessed, then. [A possibility. Whatever Nikki was, this "Rat Queen"...that wasn't human.] Besides Luna, though, do we have any chance of doin' that? Curing her?
Isn't that what it sounds like? They did say she didn't choose this herself.
[ she... isn't entirely sure what that means, but. that's what it sounded like to brilith. ]
I... I don't know. I've never been that good at healing magic, and even if I was, my magic is sealed. The only thing I could think to do is ask the hosts for medicine.
I guess that makes sense. I don't think it was one of my kind, but all of us have the ability to hypnotize humans into doin' what we want. Some are even more powerful than others.
[A shake of the head.]
You really think they would give medicine to you that easily?
[ the more similarities she hears of between the sura and mammon’s kind, the more brilith wonders if she should really be speaking to him at all. they sound so similar it’s worrying… but mammon himself doesn’t seem that bad. would the gods condemn her for thinking so? ]
Well, I won’t know until I try, will I? The only thing is getting it in time. They haven’t answered the bells at all.
