Tch-
[ It takes another two seconds for Ayabe to open the door, and he would have started yelling back if it were some ungodly time of night instead of the middle of the afternoon when he's in the room alone.
He opens the door a little sullenly, pulling his thumb away from his mouth. He sure pricked himself with a sewing needle when Mammon started banging, but at least it didn't draw blood. ]
What? Did something happen?

[ Who died? it was Ayabe's patience ]
Huh...? There's a whole house full of people and you can't get anybody else to play billiards with you?
[ He wants to believe really bad that people are just too busy doing serious things and can't be bothered with fooling around, but. He knows better. ]
It's a game you can play on your own, isn't it?

[ TERRIBLE but Ayabe's immediate reaction to pouting is to pat Mammon's head, this is what calms down his five-year-old sister and Mammon is the five-year-old stand-in. ]
Don't whine. I'll play with you, but only for a short while, okay? Just until somebody else wants to play, and we'll let them have a turn.

Act like a child and I'll treat you like one.
[ That's a promise. ]
Give me a second and I'll be right out.
[ He turns but leaves the door open— he was sewing something for Jin Ling when Mammon had knocked, so he has to go back and properly refold the coat instead of leaving it crumpled at the head of the bed. There. Now there's no danger of wrinkles, and he can head back out with Mammon. ]

Fixing it. Some guy was making a fuss with how his clothes look.
[ Jin Ling's crop top... nobody can really blame him, honestly. His clothing was unfortunate, and while Ayabe hated his too, it came with extra fabric he can use, so it works out. ]
Do your clothes fit you alright? No problems with it?

[ Ayabe is here with extreme housewife skills or something ]
Bigger pockets? Yeah, that's easy. It's just sewing in some extra fabric and reinforcing the seams.
[ He can make large pockets or add 30494580424 more pockets, pockets are easy. ]
Why? Are you running out of space for all your forks?

[ ^^^
He likes to make himself scarce for any of the fights that break out, but there's no way the whole betting pool can stay a secret. ]
Because there's only ever one or two forks in the kitchen at all times, if I'm lucky. Can't you guys just use paper, or keep a running total in somebody's book? You can pay each other after we get out of here, instead of holding the forks hostage.

It wouldn't make sense to use it as currency if the value keeps lowering like that...
[ The economics of this place already don't make sense. He's staying out of it. He will keep one pair of silverware with him for personal use and everybody else can go wild with the fork exchange. ]
Why are people needing currency anyways? Do you know?

[ NOBODY CARES ABOUT RULES IN THIS PLACE EXCEPT AYABE he's a loser, there's no helping this if nobody else will follow them. ]
Would you really listen to him if he showed up?
[ #doubt
He lowers his gaze to the ground so he can take the stairs without missing a step and falling flat on his face. ]
You seem to me like you would just continue doing what you want.

So witches exist, huh? What's up with them? What's Lord Diavolo?
[ Or who, but "what" probably accompanies that.
We're also going to fast forward them getting to the pool room now, where Ayabe goes ahead and chooses a stick. He takes his sweet time choosing one, looking for one with the least scratches. ]

[ Did anybody ever explain what happened in the library with all the books tossed around everywhere?? Ayabe couldn't hear anything going on during trial so if so, he missed it. People explained the important bits to him and that's what matters, there wasn't anything he could do besides return to the lounge to pick up those stray library books he'd found there and then head to the library today to put them back on their proper places on the shelves. ]
