I don't know about the skeleton since I didn't see it. We must have all fallen in at different places... The one I saw was a large monster with tentacles— Asch was there too back then, and it attacked both of us. I'm wondering if that's what took his arm this time.
Of course he did. He wanted to find a way to get everybody out of here. We talked a bit about that... And the two of use went to Plum to ask about building a fence around the lake. He wouldn't bother with those sorts of things if he were only looking out for himself.
[ He would have saved Nia, and Ayabe's pretty sure he would have saved anybody who was being attacked at the lake. Even the dog. ]
[ Ayabe gets it. He's like that too, a little prickly around people but unfortunately has a soft spot for kids and everybody here are babies. ]
She said that they've tried, but any time there's a wall put up in front of the lake, that monster in there will destroy it. She demonstrated with some plastic gate, but with the way the tentacle struck it, it likely would have destroyed even concrete.
[ Ayabe nods a little, because, yeah. The goal is to be hated, or at least his was. He absolutely does not want to be the center of attention, for good or for bad, and when you're hated you're avoided and that's good enough for him. ]
I don't think it's a pet, though. She just said that they've had troubles trying to build a fence around the lake without it being destroyed. More likely, it's this mansion that was built around the lake.
Somehow, I'm leaning towards the former. You see how fancy everything in this place is, and I bet half the reason there's a lake down there is for "aesthetics."

There's gun parts and stuff all the way out here, and it doesn't make sense for somebody to destroy things while running around the lake, but rather something in the lake bridging the path.

That's...weird. But guns don't take off arms... [So was it someone running into the gun room for whatever reason?] Unless...do you think that's where Nia was when she got murdered?
I don't know the timeline, but something happened in there, and something also happened outside. There was reportedly blood near the garden, and something like slime.

I think it took off his arm down here, and chased him upstairs and outside. And then... he came back to the hall where Luna and I were asleep, for whatever reason.
